Temperature Conversions
A Fahrenheit degree is smaller than a Celsius (Centigrade) degree,
one Fahrenheit degree being 5/9th of a Celsius degree.
To convert Fahrenheit into Celsius, subtract 32, multiply by 5, and divide by 9.
To convert Celsius into Fahrenheit, multiply by 9, divide by 5, and add 32.
The freezing point of water is 32ºF, 0ºC The boiling point of water is 212ºF, 100ºC.
*Federal law recognizes a 40-gallon barrel for proof spirits,
while many state laws fix the barrel for liquids at 31.5 gallons.
